SportsMe is a short-form video app where fans control the conversation. They post selfie-style hot takes on trending sports topics and vote up who said it best.

Jeff Rubin, founder of SportsMe reached out to me in 2017 with nothing more than a great idea and a technical cofounder - Art Gibson. They had a vision of bringing an app to market that was “Around the Horn” meets Reddit.
I helped Jeff distill his vision down into an MVP and introduced him to trusted development partners. I worked with internal teams and the very talented Nick Bonatsakis to bring the MVP to market on iOS.

A Collaborative Approach
I started with a simple discovery session. We talked about his vision and how to get his most dangerous assumptions to testing as soon as possible. We sketched together, abstracting the user needs down to well-understood design paradigms, created user stories, and analyzed the market for comparative products.

I sketched and prototyped designs in Invision over the course of 2 weeks getting feedback from a subgroup of testers assembled by Jeff.

Results
We delivered an MVP to market that that gets heavy engagement and landed Jeff and company at Techcrunch Top Picks for Disrupt 2018 in the gaming category. It's a 5 star app on the Appstore. Check it out.
